"I just saw Beck this weekend @ the Vegoose Festival. So, here's my review.
It was a really fun show. This is my third time seeing Beck live, and I have to say he was in rare form. He was really funny and quirky. I got the sense he was somewhat drunk or stoned. He and his band were dressed as boy scouts (Beck being the scout master of course). There was a dome tent on stage, and guys and girls came in and out of it randomly. He kept in theme all night by talking in boy scout lingo, saying to the audience "You have earned your singing scout badge" for singing along with 'Two Turn Tables and Mike'. He randomly carried a plastic fake owl on his shoulders as he sang also. He invited random people from the audinece onto the stage to dance and sing. He started to sing my favorite song 'Nobody's Fault' until he started laughing because someone threw a fake deer on stage and said "someone needs to bandage up, Bambi please, he bleeding all over the place, can someone needing to earn his trama surgery badge, please help!" Then he continued the song. His band did their typical dining room table percussion jam after 'The Golden Age'. Creating wonderful rythms on the table, plates and glasses with forks, knives and spoons. Mentioning that "We always bring our dining room table with us when we go camping!" He joking the whole show, saying he was runnning out of songs, so he tried calling Justin Timberlake on his cell phone to come help out. Getting a 'no he can't make it' from his manger, it was a spoof of course, but that was what kind of mood he was in!
Overall it was a great show with a diverse repertois of his songs. I am sorry this isn't most descriptive review, I was partying. All in all, it was the most entertaining show I seen him perform. He seemed to really enjoy that it was Halloween weekend and it was in a place like Vegas. He was laughing and joking thru the whole show constantly."
